Day 1- Arrival
On arrival at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, you will be welcomed by our tour representative and brought to your hotel. Once settled, get to meet your fellow group travelers. Grab a light dinner, some rest, and get ready for the next day.
Day 2- Tailoring Culture
Want to leave Lagos with some custom clothing? After our Welcome Breakfast, we'll get oriented to some Lagos history with a tour of the city’s art and architecture. Get ready to bustle and haggle in the famous Balogun Fabric Market where you'll buy local fabric. This is one of the biggest markets in Africa: everything happens on the street. Dinner is included.
Day 3- Taste of Lagos
Get ready to taste various types of cuisine Lagos has to offer from street food that ranges from 'small chops' to spicy grilled meats Suya to gastronomic adventures. You'll enjoy a cooking class with a local chef. After dinner, get ready for a night out in town. Dinner included.
Day 4- Sun + Afrobeat
It is time for a little wind down and what better way than at one of Lagos' beaches with Cabanas and other activities. We'll also do some grilling and just enjoy all it has to offer. Enjoy the rest of the night at a live performance by Femi Kuti, son of Afrobeat creator Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, at the renowned New Afrika Shrine.
Water activities at the beach are not included.
Day 5- Learn From History
We will have an early start to the day as we travel to Badagry, a coastal town in Lagos that borders Benin. Badagry dark past as the port where the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade operated in Nigeria holds a lot of history and lessons. Our stops include the Badagry Heritage Museum, a boat ride, and a Badagry Slave Route 25-min walk to the point of no return for many Africans enslaved.

Day 6- Make Your Own Adventure (MYOA)
Break up into smaller groups to explore the Lagos Tech scene, meet local artists, go to the spa, or just spend time by the pool enjoy your "Make Your Own Adventure" time. Options include a visit to Kalakuta Museum (Late Fela Kuti’s last residence).
Day 7- Makoko Floating Community & Lekki: Nature + Arts
Makoko, often called the 'Venice of Africa" is a fishing community built on stilts on the Lagos lagoon. We will meet with representatives of the community to learn about their lifestyle, challenges and needs.
We will head to Lekki, a peninsula on the east side of Lagos and visit the Lekki Conservation Centre (a nature reserve) then we're off to the Lekki Arts & Craft Market. Buy an assortment of arts and craft items to take home with you. PS: Be prepared to haggle on prices.
Day 8- Day Trip to Abeokuta
We’re heading out of Lagos for the day to Abeokuta, Ogun state. Abeokuta means under a rock in Yoruba and this city is a remarkable place, backed by the huge Olumo Rock. Grand Brazilian and Cuban mansions built by returned slaves.
Abeokuta is considered to be the capital of adire making in Nigeria. The group will learn to make Adire, an indigo dye handmade fabric that many say originates from Abeokuta.
Day 9- MYOA #2
Enjoy your second Make Your Own Adventure day relaxing or joining another small group outing.
Day 10- Independence in December Event
Our farewell to Lagos ends with a themed event based on Nigerian 1960 independence, Independence in December is the final event of the LOS Lifestyles Travel group trip to Lagos. Travelers will get to doll-up in their new traditional outfits for an evening that includes live music and acoustic performances from well-known and unknown local artists.
Day 11- Farewell Lagos
Say "Odaabo" (Goodbye) to Lagos. Airport transfer to Murtala Mohammed International Airport is included.
